Privacy Policy
Murajah is designed from the ground up to keep your Qur'an memorization journey private, secure, and entirely in your control. This page explains the measures we take to protect your information and how the application operates without collecting or sharing any of your personal data.
No Accounts. No Tracking. No Analytics.
Murajah does not require you to create an account, sign in, or share any personal information. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics services, or third-party scripts that collect behavioural data. There are no server calls to capture who you are or how you use the app. Your interaction with Murajah stays on your device.
Local Storage & IndexedDB
All memorization progress, mistakes, streaks, and settings are stored locally using your browser's storage technologies (Local Storage and IndexedDB). This means your data never leaves your device. There are no background uploads, synchronisation jobs, or hidden backups to any cloud service. Clearing your browser storage clears your Murajah data.
Private Audio Recordings
When you record your recitations, the audio files are saved exclusively in your browser's IndexedDB storage. The recordings never leave your device, are not uploaded to any server, and are not shared with Murajah or any third parties. You remain in complete control and can delete recordings at any time from within the app.
Offline-First Experience
Murajah runs entirely in your browser without requiring a constant internet connection. Qur'an data, progress tracking, and audio features continue to work offline. Any initial data downloads (such as Qur'an pages or word-by-word information) are cached locally. After the first load, you can continue using the app without an active internet connection.
Security Best Practices
- Murajah is delivered over HTTPS to prevent tampering during download.
- No sensitive information is transmitted to any server or stored outside your device.
- All state is managed locally; you can export or erase your data whenever you choose.
